At St. Mark’s, we welcome children and young people ! We want to help them to grow as disciples of God, living out their faith every day.
Galaxies
Galaxies is the children’s ministry at St. Marks for children between 5-11 years.
We meet during the school term at Sunday 10:30am services. Children are invited to stay with their families for the worship songs at the start of the service, and then we gather in the meeting room downstairs. On occasional weeks, we join the congregation upstairs for an all-age family service. Crèche is available for younger children as well.
Our emphasis is on having fun while learning about God, studying the Bible, and growing in faith! We usually begin with story time and then have an interactive activity and/or craft. We learn from the Old and New Testaments, making “big ideas” real for small children and following God’s amazing work in human lives.
Galaxies is led by two adults each week, from our team of wonderful teachers. All teachers have safeguarding training, as protection of our young people is top priority. St Mark’s Youth
At St.Mark’s, we are passionate about raising up young people as disciples of God. Our youth group is a vibrant community of amazing young people who grow, explore and share their faith together.
We do a big range of events and activities such as sleepovers, socials and our Sunday morning sessions in which we learn about God and explore the different ways we can apply the Bible’s teaching to our own everyday lives. Food, fun and fellowship are an absolute guarantee, and so also are worship, prayer and Bible study.
Our aim is to equip our young people for a life-long time relationship with God. At St Mark’s, we believe that we have much to learn from our young people: our youth are encouraged to participate in and/or lead services from time to time, to help out in practical ways and the youth band leads us in sung worship every 3rd Sunday of the month.
In between the ages of 11 and 18? Come and join us !
