Church Vision Day May 31

A Church Health Check-Up

On May 31, after Holy Communion, a quick EGM, and a BBQ lunch, we will meet together for our Vision Day. During some of this time together, we will look at a workbook which asks us to assess our church’s health over 8 different areas of church life. You can take a look at this by clicking the link above.

BBQ Lunch with bring and share

After our service of Holy Communion and a quick EGM we will be serving grilled hamburgers (provided by the church along with a few beverage choices) and salads, other dishes, desserts and drinks provided by everyone who brings to share.

Members, recently attending, attending for the first time, all are welcome to stay for lunch!

EGM May 31

On May 31 after our service of Holy Communion, we will convene for an Extraordinary General Meeting to vote on a minor change in our statutes. Please plan to stay for this, a BBQ lunch, and our Church Vision Day.

Ash Wednesday, 18 February at 20:00

Ash Wednesday Service
A key moment in the liturgical year. We receive the cross of Christ in ash and hear the words,
“Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return.
Turn away from sin and be faithful to Christ.”

Those are powerful words to have spoken over us. Words like that can transform your life. They remind us to live in the light of our mortality, to take a long hard look at how we are living, speaking, behaving and sort out anything that is not compatible with Christ’s call, and to be faithful to Christ. Lent then gives us 40 days to reflect on this and make changes.

At this service we will also situate Ash Wednesday in an Old Testament context and see how it has always been the cross that saves. But I’m not saying any more about that now, you’ll have to come along to find out.

Prayer for Christian Unity

On Friday, January 23, 2026 there was an ecumenical service held at St Mark’s as celebration for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity.
